Saturday (6.11.21) marks the start of a series of walking tours as part of this year’s Festival of Social Science run by Queen University Belfast and Ulster University throughout November 2021.
The Festival is run by the Economic and Social Research Council that funds social science research in the UK.
It is an annual celebration of the social sciences (e.g. history, political science, geography, etc) and features over 300 events from 34 partners across the UK.
Working with QUB, myself and a number of other Belfast tour guides who are either Northern Ireland Tourist Guide Association Blue Badge Guides, or recently completed the Association’s Belfast Green Badge, are putting on free walking tours of the city centre.
The walks aim to show how the history and human story of the city through its built environment and public art.
For those interested in participating in the walks more information is here. They are free and will start at 10.00 on the Saturdays and Sundays of November (6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, 28 of November 2021).
