The National Bank was founded in 1835 by Daniel O’Connell. The High Street branch was built in the early 1890s and is built in the Baroque revival style.[1]
It features red and white brick façade features pilasters with Corinthian capitals, two bay windows, dormers, and twin turrets topped with a fishscale pattern etched in green copper. It was designed by William Batt and opened in 1897.[2]
