Brett believed it a \u2018splendid formal building of granite, well proportioned\u2026[and] well executed\u2019. <a href=\"#_ftn3\" id=\"_ftnref3\">[3]<\/a><a href=\"#_ftn4\" id=\"_ftnref4\">[4]<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is a typical Georgian building of the neo-classical style featuring symmetry, flat roof, ionic pilasters fa\u00e7ade, quoins and rustication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The building &nbsp;was the only premises in Bridge Street to survive the 1941 Blitz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Do you want to learn more about the history of Belfast?
