The original four storey building was constructed in 1929-30 for F.W. Woolworth.
It is a fine example of Art Deco design and occupied by Woolworth’s until 2003.[1][2]
Henry Joy McCracken was executed in July 1798 on the corner of Dunnes Store, on the junction of Corn Market and High Street. He was convicted of treason for his part in the United Irishmen Rebellion.
